The Ladies Education Society Honors Scholarship Recipients at Fall Tea
The 163-year-old Ladies Education Society awards scholarships, continuing a tradition established during the Civil War.
Nine ÁñÁ«ÊÓÆµ senior women were recognized at the Ladies Education Society (LES) Annual Fall Tea held at the President’s house on Oct. 15, 2025. Founded in 1862, the society annually awards scholarships. Students identifying as women are selected based on academic excellence, character, leadership and financial need.
The scholarship recipients are:
- Ananya Manchanda ’26: economics and computer science majors, statistics concentration
- Sage Gladstone ’26: sociology major, education studies concentration
- Estella Newton ’26: political science major
- Ella LaBarre ’26: English major, education studies concentration
- Zoe Kirn ’26: Chinese and anthropology majors
- Rayana Henderson ’26: sociology major
- Anuoluwapo (Anu) Sanumi ’26: biological chemistry major, concentrations in neuroscience and policy studies
- Nicolette Parrott ’26: biology major
- Sarah Lopez Gonzalez ’26: biological chemistry and Spanish majors
The 2024–25 LES officers are:
